I had some pieces of scrap mat board and was wondering how suitable it is for an acrylic painting. What better way to find out than to just go and give it a try. So I did. This is a little painting on ivory colored mat board cut down to 5x7 inches of a pair of loons.
The little piece went fairly quickly, at first I thought the paint wouldn't spread easily but after I dipped my paint brush slightly in water the paint became more fluid. I think I'll try another one. My wildlife art site has more of my original art.
