Took a small break from practicing painting with acrylics because I was spending most of the time outside enjoying the warm weather, but now that it's getting cooler I hope to be painting more.Here is a recent painting of a gray squirrel. We have a lot of these little furry creatures scampering around the yard so on one warm day I took out the camera and snapped a few photos. The pose of the squirrel on one of the photos was just right for the composition I had in mind and became my reference for the painting.
